Picking a good cleaning service for your home or business can be a tough task. How do you ensure that a business will deliver on the service it promises and give you value for your money?
Here are a few things that you can consider when choosing from a variety of cleaning services:
- Reviews. This might seem obvious but you want to pick a service with good reviews. No one is more motivated to leave a terrible review than someone who got ripped off so don’t overlook this pretty basic piece of homework in your assessment.
- Real People. I know you’re thinking this is a weird thing to see on the list, but you want to go with a service that has real people behind it not some nameless stock photo or AI generated website. Check the about page and see if the leadership has actual photos and names, check the gallery and other content on the website. Real people equals real accountability.
- Response Time. If you click a call me button or try to actually call them, what is the amount of time it takes for someone to call you back or provide you with a quote? If the answer is not great, you may want to think twice. A company that puts no effort into addressing their potential customer’s concerns will probably not put much effort into addressing your concerns after you already gave them your money.
- Simplicity. When you check the website or call the company, are you presented with fairly straight forward pricing and packages or is there a maze of things you have to navigate to figure out what you’re getting and what you’re paying for? More is not better in this case!
- Service Guarantee. Do they guarantee their work or are you paying an arm and a leg now just so you can pay with a second arm when they job needs to be “finished up” or redone. Companies often dodge service guarantees when they have no confidence in their quality of work. Don’t settle for anything less than a service guarantee.
While not bulletproof, these 5 tips can help narrow down the pool of potential rip offs to find a good service provider that will put the effort in and take care of you where others may not. Don’t be a sucker do your homework!
